Depression and Anxiety
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Trauma and PTSD
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Couples Therapy/ Family Therapy
Relationship and/or marriage counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
Hypnotherapy
During a hypnotherapy session, I will guide you through a process that induces a trance-like state helping you to focus your mind, respond more readily to suggestions, and become deeply relaxed. Hypnotherapy utilizes the heightened awareness of the hypnotic state to help you focus on a problem more deeply.
Therapeutic Practice
Our experience together will enable me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. I treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.
Treatment Focus
My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. This is achieved by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan whether it is for marriage counseling, relationship counseling, anxiety, stress and much more.
Brain Spotting Therapy
Certified Brain Spotting Therapist
Brainspotting locates points in the client’s visual field that help to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain.
What is Brainspotting Therapy?
Where you look affects how you feel. That's where the term "brain spot" comes from. Traumatic memories and situations are activated by looking in the same direction that you were at the time of the incident. For example, someone who has been in a car accident can have a brain spot that corresponds to where they were looking when the crash occurred. If the car swerved into them from the left side, then looking to the left would activate the brain.
Even if you don't have a specific memory or traumatic event, the process of brainspotting can help pinpoint sensitive places in your field of view. More on this process later.
The premise is that when we cannot cope with emotions like grief, shame, guilt, or anger, they get stored in our bodies and brain. This leads to physical problems like higher stress, low immunity, depression, or anxiety. BPS helps to release those stored emotions so that healing can occur.
